Dr. Ranjan Rajbanshi, DDS, MS | General & Esthetic DentistryDr. Ranjan Rajbanshi’s journey in dentistry spans three continents and over two decades of clinical experience, yet his philosophy remains simple: treat every patient with the same care, respect, and attention he would offer his own family. Born in Nepal and educated globally, Dr. Rajbanshi brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to general dentistry—one that integrates rigorous scientific training with genuine human compassion.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Dental Surgery from Dhaka University in Bangladesh, Dr. Rajbanshi began his career at Patan Hospital in Nepal, where he provided essential dental care to a diverse community. This foundational experience taught him the universal nature of a healthy smile: it transcends language, culture, and background.
Driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of dental science, Dr. Rajbanshi moved to the United States to pursue advanced studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry. There, he earned a Master’s degree in Oral Biology and contributed to groundbreaking research on oral squamous cell carcinoma, work that was later published in the scientific journal Molecules. Though he began a PhD program, his heart ultimately guided him back to what he loved most: direct patient care.
For over a decade, Dr. Rajbanshi has owned and operated private practices throughout California—first in Bakersfield and Mojave, and since 2015, in Santa Barbara. Along the way, he has never stopped learning. He has completed prestigious fellowship programs in implant dentistry (California Implant Institute), esthetic dentistry (Esthetic Professional), and comprehensive orthodontics (Progressive Orthodontic Seminars), with additional training at Harvard University School of Dentistry.
Today, Dr. Rajbanshi practices in Santa Barbara, where he combines his research background, clinical expertise, and commitment to continuing education to provide his patients with the highest standard of care.
